Artist's Comments
This was the final piece I did for my glass slumping and fusing class. It measures about six inches square.
I started out with a layer of textured iridized glass covered by a layer of clear. Then on top of that I lay down thin layers of frit powder. After that was fused, I masked and sand blasted away the design. Then I fired it again to fire polish the sand blasted areas. |

If I didn't do that, the deep carved areas would have a matte/frosted look.
